IxDD Brno 2019: Trust and Responsibility

World Interaction Design Day is an annual event where we come together as a united global community to show how interaction design improves the human condition.

This year’s theme is trust and responsibility. Design operates at the intersection of the humanities and technology. Humanity entrusts the work of designers in order to function in modern society. With increasing reliance on their work, is an increasing, and ethical, responsibility for designers to put their user’s needs first.

Admission fee is 100 Kč (4€), for Asociace UX members it's free.

Tereza Navarová
Service Designer & User Researcher

Tereza is a service designer and user researcher. She was setting up to be a UX designer, but shortly after entering university, she realised that the challenges design should tackle are much bigger than websites and products. The Critical Theory course she took helped a lot, as well as a project she did with the local city council where she could see stakeholder communication in the real world for the first time.

Ever since then, she's been interested in design ethics and how it shapes the power structures around us, as well as social justice and sustainability, both in and out of design.

Currently, she's working as a user researcher at House of Řezáč, as well as collaborating on various commercial and non-commercial projects and keeping in touch with the worldwide design community via design jams.

Petr Kosnar
Product Designer & Researcher

Petr Kosnar is a designer and researcher. Most often you find him creating and testing thoughtful design concepts, leading design workshops, or traveling around the World. He works for local and international clients, mostly design agencies, and product companies. Currently he leads development of new products and services for clients around the globe.

Petr holds a doctorate in User-System Interaction and a Master’s degree in Human-Technology Interaction from the Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands). He also studied electronics & information technology, and software engineering.

Strategic Design & Innovation Leader

David Tuč is a strategic design and innovation leader, design thinker, service & UX designer and an unshakable fighter for meaningfulness.

He has always been more ambitious and committed to meaningfulness any corporate in the region was able to stand. David co-founded Stride XL, a strategic design & innovation company that helps companies to create successful business models, products and services while delivering positive effect to our planet and mankind.

Stride XL also runs their own projects focused on solving some of the most painful problems our planet and society has.
