Attention community!
We are calling developers, graphic designers, 3D artists, idea makers, and everybody interested in a good cause. We are excited to announce that Yord - VR & AR studio will be organizing an Immersive Hackathon to support the non-profit sector. In collaboration with three Czech organizations - Nautis, Zachraň jídlo (Save the Food), and the Pod svícnem (Under the Candlelight initiative), the event will take place from 31st March to 2nd April 2023.
The main goal of this hackathon is to prototype a technical solution that showcases the potential of immersive technologies in solving social problems in different spheres. You can contribute to these projects too! Bring your work experience, skills, friends, and network, and join us in creating a unique solution to a problem that interests you.
Don't miss this incredible opportunity to give back to the community and help those in need. Register here, fill out the additional RSVP and be part of this immersive experience that combines creativity, innovation, and social impact. We can't wait to see what you'll come up with!
Practical information:
The aim of the Hackathon is to create a prototype of a technical solution and show the general public how immersive technologies can help solve social problems in different spheres.
The Hackathon is for all AR/VR developers, 3D and 2D designers, Idea makers, or Product/Project Leads. In short, a combination of all the work that is needed to realize an app prototype.
You can apply for the Hackathon alone or with a team. If a participant applies alone, he/she will be paired with other participants who are also applying without a team and will be assigned to a team so that ideally there is one representative for a specific job.
There can be a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 people on the team (minimum of one developer).
Here at GoOut, everyone buys a ticket for themselves, and whether registering as an individual or as a team member, a short form must be filled out and will be emailed to you immediately after you purchase your ticket.
The full agenda, introductions to the nonprofits, and topics to choose from will be posted in the coming days.
The whole Hackathon is English-friendly, although the main language will be Czech - but if someone speaks only English, the program will be adapted to that.
