Topic 1: Tips and tricks of doing Terraform upgrade
Denis Lapotka will talk about the way Mastercard manages cloud-based infrastructure and successfully completes upgrades to the newest technology. Denis will speak about migration of Terraform from 0.11 to 0.12 and share the learnings a team got during this journey.

Topic 2: State of art Observability
Jaroslav Böhmer will talk about the importance of Observability and will go deeper into Open Telemetry, sharing what the team has set up and learnt in the last 2 years.

Denis Lapotka is an Infrastructure Engineer with extensive expertise in Cloud solutions, namely in AWS and Terraform. Denis joined Mastercard company 1 year ago and has been enjoying rewarding challenges the work brings to him so far. Currently Denis is focusing on modernising Loyalty Platform infrastructure and leading projects focused on security compliance. Denis is enthusiastic about delivering high quality work and finding smart engineering solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
